Maum opened in June 2017 as a private dining club aimed at helping the community of Palo Alto to discover Korean culture through food. Meaning ‘From the heart,’ Maum truly is an expression of its gracious owners, Brian and Grace Koo. We serve contemporary Korean cuisine through the eyes of Chef Michael and Meichih Kim. At Maum our tasting menu features the breadth of Northern California’s bounty combined with flavors of the Korean peninsula. Ranging from products like white sturgeon caviar of the Sacramento Delta to baby perilla grown at our farm in Los Altos Hills, the ingredients are presented to invoke memories and comfort.
