Saison is an American restaurant located in San Francisco, California. Our menu is constantly evolving, yet always abides by a few simple constants. All of our cooking revolves around an open wood fire. We work with a small group of fisherman, hunters, gatherers, ranchers, and farmers to find and follow microclimates that produce specific tastes from wild foods. Lastly, we steer clear of imported and commercial goods, opting instead to build our own pantry through patient harvesting and preservation. A meal at Saison is whatever you want it to be—within reason. There are no set menus. Our team tailors each diner’s experience to the individual’s preferences and desired duration. Same with wine and beverages. Saison has one of the country’s largest and most remarkable selections of Old and New World wines, with a special emphasis on Burgundy.
