The illustrious story of El Charro began in Lafayette, California, in 1947 when a determined Fidel โFrankโ Garcia set out to provide a then-unique experience of Mexican-style cuisine with a Californian influence. Showcasing a devotion to authentic Mexican culture and incorporating the flair of the American spirit, El Charro was an influence on the culinary environment of the time. For nearly fifty years, El Charroโs reputation in the East Bay community continued to grow as more and more satisfied customers flocked to its dining tables.
