Pammyโs is a New American restaurant inspired by the feel of an Italian neighborhood trattoria. Perched between Cambridgeโs Central and Harvard Squares, Pammyโs is a cozy yet sophisticated neighborhood destination. For husband and wife team Chris and Pam Willis, who live right up the street, Pammyโs is an extension of their living room. Theyโve brought together their love of great food, easy hospitality, and chic vibe to create a lively space that is welcoming to all looking for a memorable meal. With dishes that lean heavily on Italian flavors but are not restricted by any rules of the cuisine, the food is unpretentious and delicious. As the kitchen pulls from Italian culture and American innovation, the wine list also juxtaposes New and Old World wines from small vineyards in both countries. A dual-opening fireplace wrapped in white ceramic, an oversized salvaged communal table designed for side-by-side dining and rich leather banquets are just some of the design elements that make up Pammyโs charm.

Oleana opened in 2001 to rave reviews from the press and diners alike. Itโs not surprising once youโve tasted Ana Sortunโs outrageously inventive food, including chickpea crรชpe with smoked cinnamon aioli, or lamb steak with Turkish spices & fava bean moussaka. Small producers comprise the wine list at Oleana and are carefully chosen to complement the style of spice. But a meal at Oleana isnโt complete until youโve tried one of pastry chef Maura Kilpatrickโs desserts. She is especially known for her homemade ice creams infused with an Eastern Mediterranean sensibility, such as cocoa-rose ice cream with a date-rose truffle, or salted butter ice cream with a pumpkin-brown butter crรชpe. Oleanaโs award-winning patio with a fountain, herb garden, and a fig tree is the perfect place to spend a sultry summer evening. But winter nights in the dining room are pretty warm and welcoming too, with Turkish carpets on the wall, a homey fireplace and banquette seating. Thereโs an open kitchen at Oleana, and it is tiny. But the flavors and creativity that emerge from it are as big as they come.

Area Four combines two distinct yet complementary concepts: a bakery/coffee house and a bar/oven. Operating from early morning into late night, the restaurant starts its day serving coffee and freshly baked pastries, as well as sandwiches and other savory lunch items. On the other side of the 8×8-foot reclaimed barn door, the adjoining restaurant (open for lunch and dinner) serves simple, communal dishes presented “oven to table” from two showpiece, custom-built, wood-fired ovens that anchor the room and produce more than 90% of the menu. Throughout both spaces, polished concrete flooring, floor-to-ceiling chalkboard menus, exposed ducting and quirky light fixtures set the tone for the Area Four experience.
