Established in March 2016, James on Main is another step in the ambitious culinary journey of chef Bill Van Pelt. Chef Bill has spent more than twenty years in professional kitchens honing his craft. Chef has garnered local and national awards, in addition to studying abroad in Vienna and the Austrian Alps. During engagements in restaurants, hotels, country clubs, and NJ’s elite catering companies, chef Bill has worked with some of New Jersey’s finest chefs and for some of the tri-state area’s leading personalities and business moguls. As a Hackettstown resident, husband and father of three, chef Bill decided to bring his culinary talents to historic Main Street. James on Main, by design, is a place for people to gather and enjoy freshly prepared foods, sourced locally and seasonally when possible, in a warm and welcoming environment.
