This building has been in the Soule family for the over 45 years, a place where owners Nancy and Fred raised all 4 of their children. At one point, this location was named Freds Deli – where owner Fred Soule would serve his famous roast beef sandwiches. From the ceilings to the floors, this bar almost feels as though it has been in Bloomingdale for years. All the furnishings inside are restored antiques collected and found by Nancy Soule. Now let’s get to the good part. All our food here at The River is freshly made. The burgers are all made from scratch, sourcing our meat from farms in Sussex, NJ. The cows eat the same grains used in the Ramstein Beer on tap. All our beer is constantly rotating, so odds are you might not ever have the same beer twice. We like to keep all the beer on tap as local as we can. As for our cocktails, everything is made from scratch.
