One of the first establishments in the popular East Bay town of Walnut Creek, The Original Hick’ry Pit has been a landmark since 1958, making it the oldest restaurant in the city. An early favorite, the restaurant garnered a reputation for hearty fresh food, friendly and prompt service, and a comforting atmosphere for all to enjoy whether it be for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. As our motto goes, the tradition continues through the generations of families that come to enjoy this establishment both for the intimate dining experience and large group affairs. We are open from 6 AM – 9:45 PM, 7 days a week, and open on all holidays other than Christmas and Thanksgiving.
