Star Fish Company strives to serve simple Florida seafood prepared in the simplest of ways. Most items are either fried, grilled, blackened or sauteed. Sides are kept simple, too. There’s cole slaw, cheese grits and french fries. Of course, don’t forget the hush puppies! We haven’t found any better! Cortez Village, where Star Fish Company is located, is found on the northern edge of Sarasota Bay. It is one of the few remaining working waterfronts left in Florida. The view from Star’s dock is incredible. It includes mangrove islands, Jewfish Key, Longboat Key and Bradenton Beach. Add to that the local commercial fishing fleet and you’ve got one of the most scenic places found on Florida’s Gulf coast.business hours warning
