Roots Steakhouse is an old-fashioned New York style Steakhouse located in Summit, Morristown, and Ridgewood NJ. The Roots name comes from the iconic Roots clothing store, which was the location of the first Roots Steakhouse in Summit NJ (2006). The vault that held all of the mink coats still remains a part of the location. Diners can expect delicious USDA aged prime beef sourced from the highest quality ranches in the mid-west. The word “prime” is a quality grade given by the U.S. Department of Agriculture to describe the highest quality beef in terms of tenderness, juiciness, and flavor. It is among the top 2% of cattle. We pride ourselves on only center cut beef and cooked at 1800 degrees to ensure our guests the best product possible. The second Roots Steakhouse followed 5 years later in Morristown NJ. The newest location opened June 2014 in Ridgewood NJ.
