Opened in 1919 by entrepreneur Frank Toulet, who joined forces with Oregon restaurateur Joseph Musso and brilliant French chef Jean Rue, the restaurant quickly became known for outstanding service and culinary excellence. Before the iconic Hollywood sign was built, The Musso & Frank Grill was here. And for premieres and finales, through awards seasons and writers’ strikes, we’ve been here. Passed down through three generations, Musso’s is a Hollywood staple — known as much for its commitment to tradition as it is for its superior food and classic ambiance.
