In 1990, with no intention of ever coming back to Fort Lauderdale, Steve Martorano was encouraged by a friend to look at an available restaurant space. He could have never even imagined it would amount to what it is today. On the corner of A1A and Oakland Park Blvd, a very unassuming, yet quaint restaurant is nestled – Cafe Martorano. Over the last 27 years, Cafe Martorano has proven itself as more than a restaurant. It’s a culinary institution for the city of Fort Lauderdale.
