De Novo is styled after the family-oriented casual pubs of Europe with menus created by beloved Montclair restauranteur Demetri Malki (D’metri’s, Table 8). Guests may enjoy an appealing and delicious menu with house-made breads, small plates, charcuterie, flatbreads, salads, burgers, house-made pastas, entrées and late-night bar bites. De Novo also offers a selection of tempting house-made desserts. Demetri opened his first restaurant, aptly named, D’METRI’S, to rave reviews and smashing success. In 2005, Demetri expanded his restaurant empire to include the cutting edge American cuisine based TABLE 8. Receiving rave reviews from the Star Ledger, New York Times, The Record and Savvy Living, TABLE 8 was at the heart of Montclair’s restaurant scene for 6 years. Now, after an industry break to build his most important empire, his family, Demetri is back in the center of Upper Montclair with DE NOVO where his flair for hospitality and menu development have created a warm inviting environment for all to enjoy.
