Faubourg is a modern French brasserie and lounge located on Montclair’s main thoroughfare, Bloomfield Avenue. A historic building has been transformed into an elegant but everyday restaurant where two NYC restaurant veterans deliver warm, welcoming French hospitality and seasonal fare made with the best local ingredients. Originating in Paris, faubourgs were areas which formed around thoroughfares leading into the city. These French quarters, or neighborhoods, eventually became urbanised sought-after districts bustling with charming restaurants, shops and centers of original art and culture. Faubourg’s private dining rooms can accommodate 10-60 people for seated dinners or cocktail-style receptions.
